Rick Norris, first president of CORSA, has to be credited with having the idea of including an area for other Corvair collectors to show off their Corvairs in their garages. Rick proposed this idea to me in an email just a few days after this website first went online. He then went out and snapped a few photos of his Corvair in its garage just a few weeks later.
The Ideal Garage is pleased to feature several fine Corvairs from around the country on these pages. We hope that many others will take the time to send in their pictures as well. Remember, if you’d like your Corvair featured on this website, please check out the guidelines on the Parking Your Corvair in the Ideal Garage page so we can get the ball rolling.
Without further delay, here are your Corvairs. All cars are displayed in the order in which the pictures were received.

I met Kerry Parkos one day while putting my ‘65 Monza into its storage garage. His was right next door. It’s nice to have a neighbor with a penchant for Chevy show cars.

Ron and Kathy Thompson did a total restoration on a 1962 Corvair 900 coupe. They purchased a second ‘62 coupe as a parts car, but ended up restoring it as well.
Click anywhere on the photo to learn how to use the ol’ “It’s a parts car, honey!” ploy to end up with a garage full of Corvairs.

Ron T. chose to restore a Corvair because his two sons will soon be teenagers and he doesn’t want them pestering him for the keys.

Tony Underwood, a frequent contributor to Virtual Vairs, came across this customized Early Model at a car show. The owner claimed it was specially built by GM. Tony isn’t so sure.
