Welcome to the Ideal Garage!

What is the Ideal Garage?  The Ideal Garage (example pictured below), is any garage in which one or more Chevrolet Corvairs are parked.

What is this website all about?  This site is a result of my feeling a little creative this morning and taking a few hours off from everything else I had to do.  While many Corvair aficionados may have seen some of the material referenced in this site’s pages, I decided that I too needed an outlet for my Corvair thoughts, photos, and links.

Like most other non-commercial web pages, this one is highly personalized and represents nothing other than a pleasant way for like-minded individuals to spend a few moments together.  Please email me with your comments and I’ll try my best to make sure the site doesn’t get too stale.

I guess the only other thing I really need to do is thank you for looking.

In for the Winter

I recently washed, waxed, and pickled my 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible to prepare for the upcoming New England winter.

After I tucked the car into the garage next to its sister, a 1965 Corsa 140 Coupe, I decided to take a quick picture of the two of them since it’s rare for both to be so clean and shiny.  (They’re both daily drivers.)

The resulting image reminded me of what my wife said the day I brought the Corsa home:

   “Well, I guess this would be a dream come true for you.  A garage full of Corvairs.”

Truer words have never been spoken.
